Manufacture of new valves
Profile:

Processes used
Gas or ion nitriding
Gas nitriding of a screw is a thermochemical surface treatment designed to increase the hardness and wear resistance of the thread. This process involves diffusing nitrogen into the surface layer of the steel, without altering the core of the screw. It is particularly suitable for applications involving unloaded or low-abrasive materials. Gas nitriding helps to extend the component’s service life whilst maintaining good dimensional stability. The choice of this treatment depends on the type of steel, the material being processed and the operating conditions of the screw.
Vacuum hardening
Vacuum hardening is a heat treatment that increases the hardness and mechanical strength of a screw throughout its entire cross-section. Carried out in a controlled atmosphere, it ensures consistent properties whilst minimising oxidation and deformation. It is particularly suitable for screws subjected to high stresses or abrasive materials; the choice of treatment depends on the steel grade, the application and the process requirements.
The different types of valve
The PMT valve
The PMT valve is a bespoke valve developed by our design office. It offers an extended service life, improved metering time, as well as stable closure and reduced cushion variation. This valve features a stellite-reinforced tip.
The shouldered valve
The shoulder-mounted valve has the same technical specifications as the PMT valve. However, it offers the advantage of being particularly well-suited to high-speed production lines.
The ball valve
This valve is specific to the cosmetics sector. It ensures a better seal and is ideally suited to ultra-fast production cycles.
The reverse-geometry valve
The reverse-geometry valve will be ideal for BMC material (sauerkraut-like material).
The mixing valve
This valve completes the homogenisation process for dye mixtures.
PMT disassembly key
Designed specifically to fit the geometry of PMT valves, this tool makes it easier to replace valves without having to dismantle the entire plastic coating assembly, thereby significantly reducing your machine’s downtime.
